OPORA Health’s collaboration with King’s College London Informatics was showcased as part of London Tech Week, highlighting how applied computer science can support real-world Health AI innovation.
The showcase featured not one, but two research projects from KCL Informatics teams, both building on the brain health technology projects we are deploying and the practical challenges emerging from real Health AI scenarios.
One of the projects also received a recognition award, reflecting the quality of the work and its relevance to current questions in AI, healthcare, and responsible innovation.
The projects explore how advanced digital methods can support the next generation of brain health technologies. They sit at the intersection of AI, clinical data systems, ethical implementation, and human-centred design, areas that are central to OPORA Health’s work.
For OPORA, this collaboration is especially important because the future of Health AI will not be built by technology alone. It will require close collaboration between researchers, engineers, clinicians, patients, and innovation partners. It will also require infrastructure that can support trustworthy data use, accountable AI workflows, and deployment in complex healthcare settings.
The London Tech Week showcase brought together innovations across AI and LLMs, robotics, cybersecurity, digital healthcare, education, and more. It was a valuable opportunity to demonstrate how research-led innovation can move from concept to implementation, especially in high-impact areas such as brain health.
We are proud to see this work recognised and grateful to the KCL Informatics teams contributing to the development of responsible, scalable Health AI systems.
