OPORA App Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using Our Service.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy outlines how we, OPORA HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES LTD, the developers of the OPORA App, collect, store, use, and protect the personal, demographic, and health data of users of  OPORA Mobile Application (“App”) in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws in the European Union (EU).  We also share the types of data we collect, the purposes for which we process them, and the extent of such processing. 

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Data: We collect personal data such as name, email address, date of birth and contact information provided by users during registration or use of the App.

b. Demographic Data: We collect demographic information such as age, gender, education level, marital status, weight, height, occupation and location to provide personalised services and improve user experience. 

c. Health Data: Users may voluntarily input health-related data, including migraine attack dates and duration, pain location, intensity and type, symptoms, triggers, medications taken, and menstruation cycle dates for women. Based on Collected data, the Application shows Health statistics in a graph view. This should help users to track their health state and manage their condition effectively and help the Clinician improve diagnostics and personalise the treatment. 

d. Questionary Data: Users may voluntarily answer questionaries, sent by clinicians to share the impact of migraine disease on their Life Quality. Questionaries used in the Application are standardised, licenced and approved by Healthcare organisations.

e. Pseudonymised Health Data: OPORA platform uses a Pseudo-anonymised Database with Demographic and Health data without Personal Data so that the Patient can not be identified. Personally identifiable information (PII) will be removed from health data before being used for analytics. 

3. Purpose of Data Processing

a. Migraine Tracking: The primary purpose of collecting personal, demographic, and health data is to enable users to track migraine attacks, symptoms, and treatment outcomes for self-management and monitoring purposes. The collected data should help the Clinician improve diagnostics and personalise the treatment. 

 Personalization: We may use demographic and health data to personalize user experience, provide relevant content, and offer targeted recommendations based on individual preferences and health needs. (remove)

b. Improvement of Services: Collected data may be used to analyze usage patterns, identify trends, and enhance the functionality and effectiveness of the App.

d. Research: A pseudo-anonymised Database with Demographic and Health data without Personal Data so that the Patient can not be identified, is collected for migraine study and research to contribute valuable insights into the triggers, patterns, and management of migraine.

4. Data Protection and Security

OPORA HEALTH TECHNOLOGIES LTD team implements suitable technical and organisational measures to meet legal requirements, considering the latest advancements, implementation costs, and the nature of data processing. These measures are designed to address potential risks to the rights and freedoms of individuals and ensure an appropriate level of security. 

a. Data Security: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. There are procedures in place to respect data subjects’ rights, including the right to erasure, and we are prepared to respond promptly to data threats. The team considers data protection from the outset, including during the development or selection of hardware, software, and service providers. This is in line with the principles of privacy by design and privacy by default.

b. Data Retention: Personal and health data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

5. Sharing of Personal Data

User Personal Data is not shared with, or displayed for other users or Third Parties. Only the Clinician, who is leading a concrete patient, can access Personally identifiable information after the Patient approves Consent to share the personal data.  

6. Data Storage

We store your data (all types of data we collect) in trusted and monitored AWS cloud servers. 

7. Data encryption:

Data transmissions between the mobile application and servers are encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPs). User Personal Data is encrypted in the Database as an additional security measure to protect data. 

8. User Rights

a. Access and Correction: Users have the right to access, correct, or delete their data held by us. Requests for data access or rectification can be submitted through the App or by contacting us directly.

9. Consent and Withdrawal

a. Consent: By using the App and providing personal, demographic, and health data, users consent to the processing of their data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

b. Withdrawal: Users may withdraw their consent for the processing of personal data at any time by discontinuing the use of the App and requesting the deletion of their account and associated data.

10. GDPR compliance

Our platform is GDPR compliant. We store patient data in different geographies.
