Challenge
A MedTech innovation project needed specialised expertise to tackle complex technical and human-centred challenges. The team lacked access to a broad network of researchers who could understand their requirements and contribute to novel solutions.
Solution
As part of the OPORA infrastructure network, the project used the OPORA Industry Map to securely share its innovation priorities and constraints with a trusted community of software engineers, HCC researchers and computer scientists. This created a structured way to communicate needs without exposing sensitive details.
Implementation
Researchers across disciplines reviewed the project’s challenges, aligned their interests and collaborated on focused studies and prototypes. OPORA’s framework ensured secure knowledge exchange, scoped problem definitions and transparent expectations between industry and academia.
Governance and Compliance
The OPORA environment handled access control, secure sharing and protection of project-specific information, enabling collaboration without risking IP leakage. All research activities were linked back to clearly defined requirements and compliance boundaries.
Outcome
The collaboration produced unique IP owned by the company, validated research outputs and academic publications. The MedTech project advanced faster, benefited from multidisciplinary insight and strengthened its technical credibility within the innovation ecosystem.
