We began as a team of passionate product innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs, all united by a shared vision to push the boundaries of technology and innovation. Our journey started at Skein’s Digital Innovation Lab, a leading hub for innovation with international offices and a talented team spread across Europe. Skein provided the perfect environment for nurturing groundbreaking ideas. Supported by the European Union Research and Innovation programme, we developed and refined our technology over several years. 

Throughout our journey, we conducted hundreds of interviews, expert meetings, conferences, and research sessions. We engaged with many people and organisations to understand the complexities and nuances of AI in healthcare. Collaborating closely with leading researchers from top universities and hand-on clinical practitioners, we put together a comprehensive requirements engine that would shape the foundation of our work.

Ultimately, OPORA Health emerged as a spin-out from Skein, driven by a mission to revolutionise the design, development, and operation of AI in healthcare. Our goal is to create fair, compliant, and human-focused AI-powered systems that are ready for the next stage of human evolution.
