We began as a team of passionate product innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs, all united by a shared vision to push the boundaries of technology and innovation. Our journey started at Skein’s Digital Innovation Lab, a leading hub for innovation with international offices and a talented team spread across Europe. Recognized as a top employer in Ukraine, Skein provided the perfect environment for nurturing groundbreaking ideas. Supported by the prestigious EU Horizon grant, we developed and refined our technology over several years. This effort culminated in a strategic partnership with King’s College London, where we became part of the Human-Centred Computing research group.

Throughout our journey, we conducted hundreds of interviews, expert meetings, conferences, and research sessions. We engaged with numerous people and organizations to understand the complexities and nuances of decision support systems. Collaborating closely with leading researchers from top universities, we compiled a comprehensive requirements map that would shape the foundation of our work.

Ultimately, OPORA emerged as a spin-out from Skein, driven by a mission to revolutionize the design, development, and operation of decision support systems. Our goal is to create fair, compliant, and human-focused AI-powered systems that are ready for the next stage of human evolution.
